All potential candidates should be able to meet the lifeguarding prerequisites. Should have good social and conflict resolution skills. Successful candidates should be comfortable with potentially stressful situations and maintain calm and order. The successful applicant must be at least 16 years old on the first day of work.
Must be able to swim 300 yards continuously, be able to dive up to a depth of 12 feet of water and recover active and passive drowning victims and have good cardiovascular health. Lifeguard certification is preferred but training options are available.
