SUMMARY
Under supervision of Superintendent of Recreation, the Sprayground General Manager manages and supervises the daily sprayground and concession operations of Riverside Park and East Roswell Spraygrounds. Requires the ability to interact positively as an effective member of a working team. The Spraygrounds are open seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Riverside Park Sprayground is open weekday mornings and weekend through the end of September. Shifts will vary based on weather, day of week, time of day, and availability of workers. Must be able to work up to 40 hours a week and be available: Days, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays. Also, Weekday Mornings and Weekends during the month of September.
The Sprayground General Manager position requires a proven energetic leader and supervisor trained in the many facets of aquatic facility maintenance. Roswell has two Spraygrounds each with a 3000 and 5000 square foot tank, various spray features, and pool pump rooms. A concession stand/registration operation and a large pavilion are all segments of the entire operation. Both spraygrounds operate 59 hours a week during summer season, hosting daily visitors, groups, day camps, private rentals, birthday parties and a yearly special event.
The Sprayground General Manager must have an understanding of aquatic chemicals and systems. Excellent customer service and communication skills essential. General computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel are needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be 21 years of age or older, and must be able to work in a team atmosphere, display excellent customer relations skills and maintain cash, inventory, and facility controls. Aquatic facilities experience a plus and is preferred.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Job Functions
- Sprayground and Facility Maintenance (Concessions and Pavilions).
- Promotes a safe, clean, fun environment for guests and staff.
- Follows operational procedures and ensures staff compliance.
- Daily Operations and Registration/Cash Management
- Supervision and Training of Site Managers, Assistant Managers and Staff.
- Staff Scheduling.
- Inspects facilities for cleanliness and safety, acting appropriately and quickly to rectify deficiencies.
- Concession Sales, Maintenance and Operations including ordering and purchase of supplies.
- Coordination of Parties, Rentals and Events with Managers including coordination of food items.
- Analyzes Mechanical Features and Reports Potential Problems.
- Troubleshoots Mechanical Issues.
- Responsible to create a positive work environment characterized by open communication, including daily interaction, staff meetings, and sharing information pertinent to the success of the operations both financially and as perceived by the guest experience.
- Promotes and operates facilities within departmental policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
- May be required to work during various weather conditions, including hot temperatures.
- Must be able to work around pool chemicals – treated water.

- Must be knowledgeable about all spray ground operations and constantly strive for improvement.
