Seasonal Sprayground Attendant(s) - Z05-SGA

SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the Sprayground Managers, the Spray Ground Attendants are responsible for performing a variety of duties to prepare the Sprayground area for the demands of the patrons. Sprayground attendants are also responsible to work as a cashier and in concession sales. Requires the ability to interact positively as an effective member of a working team and good customer service skills are a must. The Spraygrounds are open seven days a week from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The spraygrounds are open weekday mornings and weekend through the end of September. Shifts will vary based on weather, day of week, time of day, and availability of workers. Must be able to work up to 40 hours a week and be available: Days, Evenings, Weekends and Holidays. Additional work options are available including private rental attendant and birthday party attendant. General computer skills with experience in Microsoft Word.

QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older and must be able to work in a team atmosphere, display good customer relations skills and maintain cash and facility controls.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions
1. Reports to work fifteen minutes before scheduled shift.
2. Wears uniform while on duty.
3. Maintains good public relations at all times by being helpful and pleasant.
4. Performs the job safely and in compliance with Department policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the employee manual.
5. Responsible for collection of admission fees and distribution of wristbands.
6. Constantly scan assigned zone of protection to keep participants safe.
7. Enforce facility rules and address patrons in a courteous manner.
8. Inspects facility for cleanliness and safety, acting appropriately and quickly to rectify deficiencies.
9. Tend to guests with first aid situations.
10. Cleans concrete deck, play features, pavilions and other areas as assigned.
11. Extra hours guarding private rentals and birthday parties are available.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

PSYCHOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS
1. Must work closely with co-workers and the general public.
2. Experiences ongoing concerns for all safety and liability issues.
3. Must have ability to deal with other people under stressful situations.
4. May have to work under stressful situations when First Aid or CPR are required.
5. Must be dependable and alert.

PHYSIOLOGICAL CONSIDERATIONS
1. Lifting is occasional, usually 30 pounds or less.
2. Must respond to situations quickly and accurately.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS
1. May be required to work during various weather conditions, including hot temperatures.
2. Must be able to work around pool chemicals – treated water.

COGNITIVE CONSIDERATIONS
1. Must be knowledgeable about all spray ground operations and constantly strive for improvement.

2. Must use good judgment at all times and be aware of immediate surroundings.
